How to win the Sprachcaffe scholarship for a language course abroad

I'm very excited because I won the Sprachcaffe scholarship for an English course and this summer I'm going to Malta! Let me share with you more about the course I'm going to take, other language courses and locations offered by Sprachcaffe and how I won the scholarship.

 

1. English Course in St. Julians, Malta

I'm going to take a 4-week intensive English course. And honestly everything about it sounds pretty amazing, I'm gonna have the opportunity to:

a. Develop my English skills: this will allow me to grow professionally because I'm a Spanish native speaker and I need to have a perfect English at my work. Besides that the next step in my career is to study a Masters degree at a university in the United States so I need to improve my English skills the most I can.

b. Have a placement test and receive a certificate of attendance:  at the beginning of the course I'll measure my current level of English with a placement test and at the end I'll receive a certificate of attendance. Moreover, I'll have excellent professors and high quality material.

c. Make friends from all around the world: this courses are characterized for being taken by students from different parts of the world. I'm sure I'm going to meet very interesting people who will share their culture and experiences.

d. Discover Malta: I've never been to Malta before and I'm very excited to walk across its streets, take the sun at the beach, and enjoy its history, culture, exhibitions, music, theater, sports, and nightlife.

e. Discover other European countries: Sicily is very close by ferry and at the end of the course I'm also planing to visit some friends in Spain and make a quick Euro-trip.

2. Sprachcaffe language courses around the world

The Sprachcaffe language schools are certified by international organizations and you can improve your language skills in a guaranteed way. They offer the following:

  • Languages: English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Chinese, and Arab.
  • Destinations: America (Canada, Mexico and the United States), Europe (England, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Malta and Spain), Africa (Marruecos), and Asia (China).
  • Accommodation covered: you don't have to worry about booking your accommodation separately, you can choose to stay in an apartment, studio, hotel or with a family.

3. Sprachcaffe Scholarship

I'm very grateful for the scholarship I won. It includes the following:

✓ 4 week intensive course in English (Malta), Spanish (Malaga) or German (Frankfurt). 30 lessons/week, max. 12 students
✓ Accommodation in a Sprachcaffe apartment
✓ Placement test + certificate
✓ Free textbook

If you want to participate in the next edition the application process is very simple, you just need to have an account in Instagram, Youtube or a Blog, submit a video and fill in your basic information in a formulary. The following is the one I made:

  2. What a great experience you will have. I have never heard of Sprachcaffe but intend to look into it more now I think. I would like to further improve both my Italian (i now live here and still struggle) and German so perhaps a couple of intense courses would help.

    1. That’s a great idea! Sprachcaffe has both languages and has 30 destinations around the world, an intense course would be perfect! 😀

  3. Wow, congratulations! I would love to do something like this to become fluent (again) in Italian. I am a firm believer that immersion is the best way to learn a language. Enjoy Malta!

  5. That’s so awesome, I’m sure it will be a great experience. I’ve always wanted to do a language course, I actually had it on my list of goals for this year.. but then I got pregnant. So for now planning things a few months in advance is a bit tricky!
