1. Grand Hyatt Berlin stay
1.1. Hyatt Resorts
First of all, I have to mention that Grand Hyatt Berlin is part of the Hyatt family that offers a world-class service all around the world. Hyatt is a global hospitality company with 28 brands and 1,300 hotels and all-inclusive properties in 76 countries.
I came to Berlin to spend a couple nights visiting friends. Half of the time I stayed enjoying the hotel and the other half exploring Berlin. There’s so much to do here, from visiting historic sites to eating some seriously delicious food.
2. Location
2.1. Address
Situated conveniently in Berlin Mitte, the Grand Hyatt’s address provides easy access to nearby attractions and excellent public transport links.

2.2. How to get there?
The Berlin Central station is only 3.3 km away, from there you can get to the hotel:
By train: you can take the train (RB10, RB14, RE3, RE8, OR RE4) to the Postdamer Platz Bhf stop and walk 3 min.
By bus: you can take the M85 or M41 to the Postdamer Platz stop and walk 4 min.
By foot: it would take you 30 min.
By car: you’ll get there in 8 min.
2.3. Parking
The hotel offers parking facilities for guests, the fee is 20 EUR per day.
2.4. Stores around
Just around the corner from the Grand Hyatt Berlin you can find the Potsdamer Platz shopping centre that caters for all your needs: food, shopping, art and entertainment.
Food: Europe’s largest food hub invites you to enjoy 22 restaurants and 4 bars.
DM: a drugstore with a wide range of products.
Rewe: supermarket for all your needs.
Retail: TK Maxx, NBA store, Lovisa Jewellery, Deichmann and more.
2.5. Activities
There are many places that you should visit in Berlin. I loved that you can start your journey by simply walking from the hotel to the Tiergarten and crossing it to arrive to the Brandenburger Gate. From there you can see the Bundestag as well as the Holocaust Memorial.

3. Check-In
Upon my arrival, I found the check-in process seamless and efficient. Despite arriving at 1pm (before 3pm check-in time), the staff were very friendly and accommodated us to check-in earlier.
4. King Room with City View
4.1. The Room
My room was located on the 6th floor (Room 624). It had a spacious and inviting king-size bed, there was a huge TV, a minibar refrigerator, a coffee station, A/C and heater.
There was a QR code with the guest manual and a phone with which we could quickly contact reception.
4.2. The Bathroom
The bathroom area had a vanity with a sink and a large wall mounted mirror.
There was a walk-in shower that was connected to the bathtub.
4.3. Closet and amenities
Right behind the vanity was a large closet. It had double doors and a ton of space to store our belongings. Within the closet, I found convenient amenities such as bath robes, flip-flops, an iron, an ironing board, and even a scale.
5. Dining at the Grand Hyatt Berlin
5.1. Vox Restaurant & Terrace
The Vox Restaurant & Terrace serves as the hotel’s main dining venue, offering a wide selection of dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Buffet breakfast was included and it was very complete and tasty.
For lunch and dinner the talented team at the Vox Restaurant crafts Asian-inspired modern dishes.
5.2. Vox Bar
At the Vox Bar you’re entering a whisky lover’s paradise. With a staggering selection of over 150 different varieties, this place is a haven for connoisseurs and novices.
But wait, there’s more! The Vox Bar isn’t just about drinks – it’s an experience. Talented artists take the stage every Thursday to Saturday from 9:00 PM onwards.
5.3. Tizian Restaurant & Lounge
Stepping into the Tizian Lounge feels like entering a cozy oasis. As you peruse the menu, you’ll find a delightful array of dishes, from mouthwatering pasta creations to juicy burgers and crisp salads.
5.4. 1838 Deli
Embark on a delicious journey at the 1838 Deli, from delectable pastries like crispy granola bars to irresistible cinnamon rolls, there’s something to satisfy every craving. And if you’re into vegan delights or hearty breakfast bowls, this is the place to be.
5.5. Room Service
Indulge yourself in the convenience of room service, with a diverse menu available to satisfy cravings at any time of day or night.
Whether you’re craving breakfast in bed, a light lunchtime bite, or a late-night snack, the Grand Hyatt team is there to spoil you with culinary delights around the clock.
5.6. Le Petit Chef
The Le Petit Chef experience is a unique culinary journey, combining a sophisticated 3D projection right on your plate, perfectly paired with exceptional plates of food.
Once the food hits the table, the show takes a backseat, allowing you to savor international plates.
6. Common Areas
6.1. Lobby
The hotel’s lobby is elegant and impressive. I particularly liked the digital pictures of Berlin displayed on the walls.
6.2. Olympus Spa
Located on the 8th floor, the Olympus Spa offers a haven of relaxation. I enjoyed a workout at the fitness center, swam in the pool, and had a sauna session.
From the moment I arrived there I encountered attentive staff ensuring we had towels, indicating where were the lockers and explaining the facilities.
6.3. Indoor pool
The indoor heated pool has great city views and the water is warm and perfect for swimming.
6.4. Fitness Center
The fitness center boasts ample space and top-of-the-line equipment, providing us with everything we need for a rewarding workout while soaking in awesome views of the city.
6.5. Sauna and steam rooms
With a sauna room and steam room available, this was perfect for relaxation. Heads up, no swimming suits are allowed inside the rooms although you can cover with towels.
6.6. Lockers and sundeck
The outdoor sundeck provides the perfect spot for basking in the sun’s warmth, offering ample chaise loungers for relaxation and enjoyment.
There are also lockers where you can store your belongings.
7. Conclusion
My adventure at the Grand Hyatt Berlin summed up in one word: extraordinary. From the moment I arrived to the second I checked out, it was all about comfort, luxury, and relaxation.
