HouseCarers has been securely matching Homeonwers with House Sitters since October 2000. They have researched the practice of house sitting and created acceptable guidelines to help the members make informed decisions. They use the power of the internet to connect the members across United States and around the world.

5. Duration
The duration of your stay varies a lot, it could go from a few days up to a few months.
6. Compensation
The standard Housesit is Rent Free Accommodation in exchange for house sitting/ pet care. This is the spirit of the site.
7. Fee
You are first registered for a limited non-paid membership that allows you to browse and receive housesit alerts to your email.
A paid membership costs 50 USD per year and you can make contact, upload photos, references and more. Furthermore, paid members appear before non-paid members in search results.
*If you check the website you can see available opportunities without paying, but you wont be able to contact the hosts.
8. Eligibility
You have to be 18 years old to use HouseCarers.
9. Application steps
- Start with a limited non-paid membership.
- Make a search of a house to sit: select the location where you want to go; Preferences (Availability as Pet Care), and period (days, weeks or months), and more.
- Hose Carers will then send matching opportunities, and you will be found in searches.
- Then apply for a housesit or respond to messages by paying the full membership which is $50 USD per year.
10. Deadline
Application open all over the year.
